Fifth Harmony’s Lauren Jauregui Reportedly Donates $3,000 to Bresha Meadows

An online campaign dedicated to helping 15-year-old Bresha Meadows just exceeded its goal, seemingly thanks to Fifth Harmony‘s Lauren Jauregui. Bresha, who had been accused of fatally shooting her allegedly abusive father, recently accepted a plea deal, which would enable her to spend six months in a mental health facility before returning to her family where she would serve a two-year probation period.

A GoFundMe page was set up on behalf of Brandi Meadows (Bresha’s mother) by Maria Latessa. According to the website, the donation hub was created in order to send Bresha to her family’s treatment facility of choice, where she could receive the best help possible. “Her family has to pay for her treatment and needs your help,” the GoFundMe’s description reads. “We want Bresha to receive the best treatment, she was treated at this facility in January, she has developed a rapport with the staff and would love to return there for treatment.”

Yesterday (May 29), Twitter user @prisonculture (and Teen Vogue contributor) shared a message that $3,000 had been donated to the page, allowing the family to reach their goal of $150k. The donation was sent in by “Lauren,” later revealed to possibly be Lauren Jauregui, as some other people pointed out on Twitter. Lauren herself has not yet commented on the donation.
